Payment is required in advance on a monthly basis. No refunds will be given for days when the student is absent.
In exceptional cases, an agreement may be made to pay in arrears, but the full amount remains due.
A 10% family discount is available when two or more family members enroll.
Late Payment: Fees must be settled within two days of the start date; otherwise, the student will be asked to cease attendance.
Private Lessons: A 48-hour cancellation notice via email is required. If canceled within the notice period, the lesson will be rescheduled. Otherwise, fees remain payable.
Workshops & Theatre Trips: Full payment is required to secure a spot. No refunds apply unless canceled by Nriti Raga House.
Class Cancellations: If classes are canceled by us, the time will be made up, or fees will be deducted from the next month’s payment. We are not responsible for cancellations due to events beyond our control.
Fee Changes: We reserve the right to change fees but will inform students/parents as soon as possible.
2. Cancellation & Notice Policy
A four-week written notice is required if a student wishes to discontinue lessons. Fees remain due for the notice period.
No refunds are given if a student leaves mid-course.
For medical reasons, membership may be paused upon submission of a Doctor’s letter.
3. Attendance Policy
Students must maintain at least 80% attendance. Parents should inform us of absences with a reason.
Exam Training: Students will be entered into exams at the teacher’s discretion. A minimum of two academic years may be required to take an exam if attending once a week.
If attendance falls below 80%, we may postpone the exam date and charge any incurred costs.
Performance Choreography: Students missing more than 20% of rehearsals may have their positions altered or be removed from performances.
4. Lateness Policy
Students must arrive on time. Late arrivals miss the warm-up, increasing injury risk.
Students arriving more than 10 minutes late may be required to observe instead of participating for safety reasons.
5. Dress Code & Lost Property
Students must be tidy and wear the correct uniform for all lessons.
Those not in proper attire will not be allowed to participate. For dress code details, email nritiragahouse@gmail.com.
Workshop attire must be safe and appropriate. Inappropriate clothing may result in exclusion from the activity.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items, but found items will be placed in lost property.
6. Behavior Policy
Students must be polite, listen attentively, and avoid unnecessary talking.
Disruptive behavior may lead to removal from the class.
Unacceptable behavior by students or parents may result in exclusion from activities or banning from premises, events, and performances.
7. Anti-Bullying Policy
We are committed to a bully-free environment. All bullying allegations are taken seriously and dealt with effectively.
We work closely with students and parents to prevent and address bullying.
8. Health & Safety
We prioritize the safety of all students, teachers, and volunteers. Regular risk assessments are conducted.
Dance is a physical activity, and while injuries can occur, we are not responsible unless due to teacher negligence.
9. Appropriate Physical Contact
Dance training requires physical corrections.
Teachers will always be mindful, respectful, and professional in any physical contact.
One-on-one sessions should take place in studios with windows, or with a parent present.
Any concerns should be reported to our safeguarding lead, Veronica Monk.
